The food does not taste

We are always happy to be guests in your branch in Zorge. Now we wanted to enjoy the good cake or something solid in the "headquarters". The experience was disappointing. Our request to order a warm lunch from the interesting chanterelle menu was refused at 1.45 p.m. with the advice that the kitchen would close at 2 p.m. Well, we cannot judge the internal organization. Then cake. The coffee with milk was good, the apple cake was okay - but the cherry cream cake was borderline (already a clearly recognizable tinge in the taste of the cream, the dots of cream on top completely dried up / the following day you could not have sold this cake at all / we could definitely see the quality judge well). Since the elderly woman who looked after us did not ask whether we liked it and since she was visibly tortured through her everyday work - certainly also due to the heat and spit protection - we didn't want to annoy them with criticism at the time. So in the future Werner will be back in the small cafe in Zorge. Reaction to the owner's "statement": We would have expected a somewhat self-critical reaction. But your other reactions to comments that are not particularly positive are also similar to this one. You could have seen the decisive factor from our comment. Unfortunately, you don't go into that at all. We are specialists and know how to deal with critical reactions in the interests of the customer. Your last remark is completely superfluous. (We have described why we did not complain. We should probably add - and this makes it easier to understand - that an initial carefully formulated criticism was answered with a shrug. We did not see a second contact person on site.) But now, at your request, one more complaint: The two dry pieces of cake that we took from the cafe (the bakery was not yet open) were also overlaid. I'm sorry, but it was like that. We ourselves came with joy and left disappointed.

Very tasty and fresh food. We had wild boar with potato dumplings and it tasted fantastic. Homemade vanilla ice cream for dessert. Simply great! The service was great. Attentive and very friendly. We will be back for sure!

Been there for the first time today. Super location, top service and mega delicious. Taste was not only convincing, no, it just fascinated me. Here you can find really good Harz cuisine. All in all a great restaurant with a lot of flair and dishes that are sometimes served "differently". Many thanks also to the very courteous friendly service. 5 stars completely deserved

Dear Werner team, we were your guests again today and as always, it tasted great.We always like to come to you because, unlike you, we can switch off with a good glass of wine and delicious food ... The friendliness of the entire staff is admirable, although you will surely sometimes be driven to the brink of despair by particularly "nice" guests - always smile, even if it is difficult. Working in your area must be a calling, otherwise you would often not be able to do the work. I take my hat off to all of you and look forward to the next visit. A big thank you to the kitchen and service, keep it up ....

It's always nice and we had a good lunch here. The restaurant is actually very tastefully decorated. Not a cheap decoration, but the color was very nicely coordinated. In no way did we have to wait long for the food and our drinks. It was great because we were very hungry that day. Super great and polite service. I think all the staff there did a very good job.

We were in transit and unfortunately hadn't read all the reviews here. Our beer was a long time coming. Our dishes too. It's not that bad on vacation. However, our service was unfriendly, if not outrageous. We will definitely be back

... I do not like this place, because the cake and the cake pieces taste great, so you do not know when to stop, the shop assistant is still friendly with snakes from hungry people and keeps the overview and the delicious stock one long day can withstand.

Maybe we were just unlucky on 06.02.2019 today? The two older women seemed completely overburdened and they were not friendly either. When the children ran around in the cafe they were immediately admonished not to touch anything and the doctor was already closing time, what a stupid saying. The cafe did not taste bad but not good either. The ice somehow tasted weird, not how we know it. The music from the radio was way too loud. Overall, not a nice experience. Supplement after reaction of the owner. We were in the cafe and if I was dissatisfied then it does not make me any better to pretend that I made a mistake. So I could pull off another star because of impudence. I leave it at 2 stars. And if it's fair or not, I was not satisfied and the people at the next table were not. Thus, my assessment of the visit is even very fair.
